Blue Ribbon: No Excuse for Abuse Virtual 5K

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month!
Run, walk, paddle, pedal, swim, or roll with us to bring awareness to the thousands of children abused each year in our county, state, and nationwide.
Complete your 5K (or 3.1 miles) between April 17 – 25, 2021; that’s 10 whole days including two weekends to complete your race.
Registration includes:
T-Shirt, Participation Medal, and Race Bib if registered before March 26, 2021 at 12:00 pm (noon). Final Shirt and Medal orders will be made that day. Race packets will be mailed out between the time that the shirts arrive around April 9 and April 12th.
Since 2017, The Child Abuse Council has hosted the Blue Ribbon: No Excuse for Abuse 5K in April to bring awareness to the thousands of children abused each year in our county, state, and nationwide. Last year, we had to take a different direction with this event due to multiple factors and were unable to hold it in person during our normal Child Abuse Prevention Month Festivities. That is why (with inspiration from other races), we decided to present the Blue Ribbon: No Excuse for Abuse 5K as a Virtual Race. This year, we’re going to continue as a Virtual Race because it allows people the freedom for everyone to still be able to participate at their own comfort level and flexibility to do it on their own time.
All proceeds (approximately $15 from each registration) will go directly to the Child Abuse Council to help us keep our services free of charge to all of those who desperately need them. The Child Abuse Council serves over 20,000 kids every year through our three programs: Prevention through Education, Children’s Advocacy Center, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Children often come to us in the most horrible times in their lives. We cannot thank you enough for supporting us as we help them Every Step of the Way.
