Downtown Muskegon Walking Tours

June 11, join the Lakeshore Museum Center for a 90-minute walking tour to explore Muskegon’s rich history as well as its exciting present!  In this historic downtown walking tour, participants will learn about the past and current uses and occupants of many of Muskegon’s historic businesses and residences.  Learn about the McCracken Building, the story of Charles Hackley’s father, what life was like for the Spaniola family running a market on Western Avenue at the turn of the last century, and many more interesting stories about historic downtown Muskegon.

Two tour dates are available: a morning tour from 10:00am-11:30am, and an afternoon tour from 2:00pm – 3:30pm.  Tickets are $15 per person with a 2 ticket minimum. Members receive a 10% discount on the ticket price.  Register at Eventbrite.com or by visiting the Museum Store.

Looking for a different date?  Groups of 6 or more may contact the museum at 231-724-5543 to schedule an alternate date/time subject to availability.  Tours will start and end at the Lakeshore Museum Center.

Weather Policy:  This is a rain or shine tour.  In case of inclement weather, museum staff will determine whether or not it is safe to proceed.  Tickets would be refunded in the case of a museum cancellation.Lakeshore
